Despite extensive Googling, I haven't been able to find a workable solution (or maybe I overlooked it) to achieve this. I would much prefer this to just be built into the image, so any newly-imaged former Windows 7 machines will have this wallpaper and it won't affect any existing Windows 10 machines. I could push out a GPO to do this, but I don't want to change everyone's existing wallpaper, especially for those that are already on Windows 10. Method 2: Set Default Background Wallpaper for Windows 10 Desktop Using Registry Editor. There are local group policies and/or registry keys that can be changed to accomplish this, but the caveat is that users cannot change the wallpaper after that. We have about 30% of our users on Windows 10 already.

I would like them to be able to change it later if they wish. I am working on our Windows 10 image for deployment (I know, getting right down to the wire here) and I want to set a default wallpaper of our logo for all AD users who log in for the first time.
